Of course Barnett blames Hockey for Abbott's problems. Barnett knows he is the same as Abbott and will end up going the same way.Sociopaths always blame someone else for their own shortcomings and failures, because (of course!) the sociopath, by definition, is always right and cannot fail.
The reason Abbott doesn't consult is that he knows many of them will disagree - but they are, of course, wrong - so why bother with them.
Right now, Barnett has his own problems with what will be the overwhelming rejection of his forced local government amalgamations in at least two and probably all three of the polls currently under way.
What's the betting he (through his underlings and sycophants) is already plotting new ways to subvert the will of the people either by challenging the poll (we've already seen Simpson have a go at that in relation to Kwinana - http://ianrker-vincent.blogspot.com.au/2015/02/homers-dummy-spit-and-sunday-times-bias.html) or by making new proposals to get rid of those troublesome Councils/communities that dare to challenge his authority.
Think carefully before you do, Col, for if you continue to pursue this path you will be forcing the people to loud and angry protest - if not bloody revolution.
