East Fremantle Joins Kwinana. South Perth Maintains The Pace

Congratulations to the East Fremantle community on getting to the notional 50% vote. Now it all depends on the next couple of days and the balance of hand-delivered votes (a plus) and invalid votes (a minus).

The South Perth community surely deserves to get there after so much effort. Today's returns maintain the trajectory of the early part of the week, which surely bodes well for them. Again, it's likely to come down to the net result of hand-delivered and invalid votes.

Vote returns 5th February 2015 (includes votes that will be rejected as invalid, but excludes hand-delivered votes).

Votes still needed for 50% (but remember need to add a bit for invalid votes). On the other hand, the Electoral Commission figures are stated to be for votes received via Australia Post. They should not, therefore, include votes lodged at the polling places - and we don't know how many of these votes there are.
