This is the personal blog of Ian Ker, who was Councillor for the South Ward of the Town of Vincent from 1995 to 2009. I have been a resident of this area since 1985. This blog was originally conceived as a way of letting residents of Vincent know what I have been doing and sharing thoughts on important issues. I can now use it to sound off about things that concern me.

If you want to contact me, my e-mail is still ian_ker@hotmail.com or post a comment on this blog.

Life In Legal Action Yet - But Poll Deferred

All credit to the City of Subiaco Council for proceeding with its appeal against the ruling of the Chief Justice on local government amalgamations back in November.

I note that the same Council has decided not to hold a 'mock poll' to show Barnett and Simpson up for the anti-democrats they are. Perhaps, as Cr Julie Mathieson implied, this decision should be reviewed if the appeal is unsuccessful.

If the appeal is successful, there will be no need for a poll because the LGAB recommendations and the Minister's decisions will be null and void. The whole house of cards will have collapsed.
